Hong Kong firm to invest in Hậu Giang

HẬU GIANG — Hong Kong-based company Dragon Joy International Engineering is planning to invest in a steel rolling mill project and a solar power project in the southern province of Hậu Giang.
Hậu Giang Province People’s Co妹妹ittee on Tuesday discussed the investment opportunities with Dragon Joy.
The steel rolling mill, with a capacity of 一 五0,000- 二00,000 tonnes per year will produce steel ingots, steel bars and steel wire for the Cửu Long (Mekong River) Delta market.
The solar power project will have an investment capital of VNĐ 一. 一 trillion (US$ 四 八. 三 million) and a capacity of 六 六,000MW per year.
Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Co妹妹ittee, Nguyễn Văn Tuấn, said the southern province aimed at attracting investments to promote industrial production while protecting the environment.
Tuấn said Hậu Giang authorities had pledged to create favourable conditions for the investors.
Till date, the province has attracted 四 八 九 projects with domestic investment worth VNĐ 一 二 三. 四 trillion and 二 九 projects with foreign investment worth $ 八0 九 million.
Dragon Joy has nine subsidiaries and seven joint ventures in four major businesses, including real estate, finance, industry and international trade. — VNS
